SORRY, SOLD!

A vintage Bang & Olufsen Beogram 1000 turntable from the late 1960’s in working condition, but sold for spares or restoration. Comes with original mat and dust cover. The Stylus is in place, only the counterweight of the stylus is missing. It is also missing the knob of the speed selector, but the selector still works (78, 45 and 33.3 rpm). Very nice and solidly built turntable. This is a fairly heavy turntable with a very decent weight in the platter and has a built-in special center insert for 45 rpm records.

The turntable and overall design was by Jacob Jensen. The Beogram 1000 was the very first Bang & Olufsen turntable to be designated with the suffix ‘Beogram’. This player has extremely low vibration and rumble – a decisive feature for playback of stereo gramophone records, due to the fact that the stylus must be sensitive to vibrations in all directions. The Beogram 1000 has suspension that takes up acoustic and mechanical vibrations

Condition: Basic testing has been done, managed to play some records by putting a counterweight on the stylus, played a few records (33 rpm). Plays ok, and sounds ok! The counterweight of the stylus is missing. It is also missing the knob of the speed selector. The dust cover has scratches and a few cracks (please see pictures). Please note, this record player is sold as is.
