Philips DCC-951 (18 bit) was the last DCC player from Philips from the famous 900 series. Following the success of the (analog) Compact Cassette in the 1960s and the (digital) Compact Disc in the 1980s, Philips introduced the ‘Digital Compact Cassette’ (DCC) in the 1990s: Digital recording and playback on a Cassette System. The competitor of DAT recorders, with the advantage that old-fashioned cassettes can also be played on them.
This player is offered including a new sealed DCC cassette and remote control.
